Description: VERY NICE Swan 500C transceiver. So lots of Swans and transceivers FLIPPED from Estate sales. This one I have personally gone over and totally aligned and tested the SWAN 500C and really cleaned it up to almostgleaming perfection. This one is really clean inside and out. o Cleaned it all up.o Total book alignment on receiver IF, TX VFO amp, TX Mixdr and Driver coils.o Balanced Modulator aligned and tested.o GOOD AM transmit about 50 watts.o GOOD SSB transmit. Key down is 125 watts on 20 meters. SSB PEP input WILL BE HIGHER.o Receive is really good. See the videos.o New LED lamps. Repaired loose lamp socket.o Total detoxit on all band switches.o Total clean of relay on bottom.o Total detoxit of any pot that rotates, including volume, RF , carrier balance, s-meter 0, BIAS controlo Test of AM sound quality very good.o Test of SSB transmit on USB and LSB - all very good.o Test of Xtal calibrator - just fine.o Calibration of all VFO settings is good. The rig runs good.Could stand some new finals. But you can use it out of the box as is. It looks really nice.All the controls work nice. If you have a power supply you can just plug this Swan 500C into that power supply and go with it.I tested and aligned it with a Swan 117-XC power supply. Many transceivers on eBay are NOT Tested. You have NO IDEA what you are getting into.Here you know EXACTLY and can make a CLEAR decision. Had I made this transceiver absolutely perfect (I usually do this) I would charge a lot more for it.Here it is all laid out clearly and tested. It will not take much more work to make it perfect.You can use it now when you get it home and in your shack. You need a nigh impedance mic with a 1/4 phone plug.You need s Swan 117-XC power supply or similar. Please do not throw offers at me.
