The prototype with retractable landing gear flew in 1938. It was produced serially from 1939 with a 500 hp Renault 12R 03 engine and 4 7.5 mm machine guns under the wings. During the battles in France they were flown mainly by Polish and Czechoslovak pilots. Several machines were sold to Finland and captured machines were also used by the Luftwaffe.
