40's DECO Mallard GEESE Ducks in Marshland Low Country Barkcloth Vintage Fabric

Description: When it came to the designs of the 40's and 50's...designers never left a stone unturned when it came to creating designs that reflected the out of doors...between florals and fauna...lifelike scenes of nature were always a hit in the Art Deco hotel scene in Miami Beach and of course other trendy enclaves of the period...the graphic scenes depicting authentic and not authentic colors...some that made sense and other that maybe left people scratching their heads wondering where did that waterfowl get that turquoise beak...it was part of the times and excitement that was part of the hotel scenes where families and executives alike vacationed with an expectation of something unique and fanciful for which to take that memory and inspiration back home where they oftentimes recreated basement recreation rooms with cedar shake bars and red linoleum floors with rattan furniture gracing a unique conversation area that would center around the record player or television...these patterns and colorways fit right in...and became part of a chapter of textile history more fanciful...unique and eye popping than most chapters before it... This offering is for ONE never used washed original old stock pillow/cushion sized remnant...I have a couple more I will be listed too that are almost identical...it is in the condition of when it was first made decades ago into the mid century...so this primo and for the right lover of the good stuff...then this one is for you...the sides are the original selvedge signed "Guaranteed to be Vat Colors"...a mocha off tan ground...with very fabulous crazy limes...canary chartreuse...tangerine red...crazy turquoise blue...chocolate...creamy pea green...with black and white accents...expect FLAWLESS. Measures 24 inches wide x 21 inches long...expect brand new original old stock barkcloth! I take returns...but who wants to take a return right?
