Description: Antique R&D Redfern & Drakeford Bread Plates England Floral Set of 4 1892-1909 - Sale is for four bone china plates by R&D Potteries (Redfern & Drakeford), Chatfield Works, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England.- Manufactured between 1892 and 1909.- Pattern: Floral, not having a specific name. - Hand painted with gold gilt trim- Scalloped edges- The rim has embossed swirls with larger embossed swirls extending towards the center past the inner rim. - Diameter: 6 7/8" - Condition is extremely good for being between 114 to 131 years old. The gold gilding is wearing in some areas. One plate has two very small flea bites on lower edge which are hard to see but can be felt. There are rough areas where the gold gilding comes together and overlaps but these areas are not chips or flea bites. One plate has a crack on its foot base which can be seen at 9:00 in the last photo. Other than the crack and flea bites mentioned above, there is no crazing, chips or repairs noted.
