The rack panel is 3 Rack Units (5.25 inches, 13.32cm) high by 19 inches wide (EIA Standard rack panel) - it is also available (on special order) in 23 inch (58.4 cm) width (actually any width up to 120 inches). If you need something custom we can do it; please ask! The radio opening is 11.25" wide, 4.375" high. This panel does not fit the R7100 - but we have one that will, please contact us. The radio shown is not included in this auction. These rack mounts were originally designed for and many have been sold to the US Government: NSA, FBI, US Military: Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard plus several other organizations and agencies. You can order an optional 20 or 30 amp power supply that comes pre-mounted to the tray, complete with a line cord and strain relief. The 20 amp supplies are 110-120 volts 50/60 Hz only. The 30 amp supply is switchable between 110-220 volts 50/60 Hz so it works just fine on worldwide power sources. Take a look at the other photos; they show some of the optional features and gadgetry Novexcomm offers to the radio community including rear I/O panels, clock modules (really DC voltmeter / clock / temperature gauge), LED backlighted text bars (think about how YOUR agency name or call sign will look here!) and more. The tray (or shelf if you prefer) is normally steel (for strength) but can be ordered in aluminum for $5 more if you like to conserve weight in a Go Box perhaps; something to think about. Both are 14" deep but can be cut down to order if you have a need for a more shallow depth. The PANEL can be mounted to the TRAY at the corners using our custom corner brackets (optional). Once a radio is in a rack cabinet there is very little sound from a internal side-mounted or top-mounted internal speaker so you will need some sort of external speaker and this rack mount comes with it built-in with a cord terminated in a 1/8 inch / 3.5mm plug. The speaker simply plugs into the external speaker jack on your radio. We also offer speaker rack panels with 2, 3, 4 or 6 speakers. Each speaker comes with a two-conductor cable with a 1/8 inch (3.5mm) plug that goes into the external speaker jack on rear panel of the radio. The radio opening is 11.33" wide, 4.44" high. Yes, we are using a photo of a IC-746, only because we don't have one of every radio lying around for photos.
