Description: 35 Vintage Berol Prismacolor Colored Pencil 80s-90s Rainbow Sampler Artist Set This is a another sampler set designed to try out the different Berol & Eagle Prismacolor from the 1980s into the 1990s: before the company sent their production to Mexico. The soft thick leads from the 1980s vintage Berol Prismacolor are highly sought after by professional artists. The pencils from the 1990s include both Berol Prismacolor Scholar as well as Berol Canadiana. Combining these Berol families is a great way to sample the colouring pencils from the 1990s and have access to a wider range of colors. This set also includes a handful of modern scholar pencils to help round out the colors in this set. The majority of the pencils in this set land right between 5 - 5.5 inches. They include a rainbow variety to showcase the range of colors & shades available from Prismacolor which may include some color duplicates. Take your time to review the photos, these are the exact pencils you will receive: these 30+ year old pencils may show denting, chipping, names or general flaws from usage & storage over time. Berol Canadiana was originally designed as a student quality pencil in the 1990s vs the Prismacolor line which was intended for more professional artists. However, we find that they offer the same high quality of Berol pencils from the 1990s, as they were made in Canada/US. As a bonus, we have found that Canadiana offers more colors, including some of the harder to find Prismacolor shades are more readily available in the Canadiana line. I come across a large variety of different pencils from various sources and am always trying to build the best possible sets for sale. This listing features some of the shorter pencils that didn't make the cut, but still have life left in them.
