Description: The Egrets have long been some of my most collectible of barkcloth fabrics...as most of mine are original to my collection 30 something years ago from hotels in Miami Beach...South Beach mostly...where these patterns were still hanging on windows in once grand hotels...as other antique dealers were hauling mid century Heywood Wakefield dressers and Eames era lamps...I was stepping over them for the draperies...they thought I was crazy...what would some early twenty something kid want with these old funky draperies...well...here I sit this many years later with still a large portion of my barkcloth hoard still intact...still coveted and protected in my possession...moving with me from apartment to apartment...Victorian to Victorian...to mid century ranch...me and my birds are still connected...after all these years...it is hard for me to part with them...I get a bit of a anxiety even putting them up...because I know there is no price tag high enough to compensate me for the story of my life at the time...the story of the fabric...and for decades of carrying them like a torch...so that others...like you...could own a piece of my story...a piece of a time from Miami Beach...a relic from the Art Deco 30's that can never be recreated...these pieces of art are much more than a simple piece of pillow sized fabrics...they are testaments to a time and place that once was...memories that can never be recreated...designers who have passed and who's only legacy is these timeless cotton icons... This offering is for ONE unused unwashed crisp and brand new feeling remnant of the most prized of barkcloth patterns...the Chocolate Egret on Swirl pattern. Made popular in the post Art Deco period of the 1930's as draperies and upholstery fabric for Miami Beach hotels. A decadent chocolate ground with chartreuse lime...bold lemon yellow...teal and turquoise greens...a fabulous aqua blue green and unexpected bold tangerine orange...with black and white accents. I have two of these available sold in individually...each measures 24 inches wide x 39 inches long. One is signed that will sell first and one is not signed. The one that is signed says "A Spectrum original Vat Color Print". if you love feeling like you've been transported back in time to the glorious Art Deco era of Miami Beach where egrets on swirl hung eloquently from windows of South Beach hotels...well...then...you have come to the right place. Flawless. I got a nice bargain on these and I am passing them onto you...my Ebay shoppers! I take returns...but who wants to take a return right? So I do my best to add lots of photos that depict the weight and texture and do so thoughtfully so you are getting the most virtual experience. Please only buy if you know you really want it...in other words...I'm here to have the best selling experience and I can't do that without your help. With that said...of course I will take a return...I'm just hoping more the pricing will WOW YA over wanting to return it :) Here is to a summer of fabulous Florida Finds. :)
