Description: Sweet Violet 'Royal Wedding' Viola odorata A beautiful white violet for light shade and woodland gardens. Lovely when paired with alpine strawberries, spring bulbs of all kinds and for filling into containers. Will also rebloom in the fall and as early as late winter. Very charming when allowed to naturalize in a lawn. 'Royal Wedding' is the brightest purest white of all the odorata species. Odorata refers to the sweet fragrance of the flowers. Viola flowers are also edible and add tasty color and flavor to salads. Candied violets are also a nice treat or dessert decoration. Sowing Instructions: Maintain constant moisture and cooler temperatures over a long period by keeping seeds in a bag with moist sand, peat, or moist paper towel in a refrigerator for 4-6 weeks to simulate winter dormancy conditions. Plant moist seeds and media directly into pots, trays or directly into soil after cold treatment. Germination occurs irregularly over a long period - patience is key.
