Purple passion fruit has a flavor and aroma richer than yellow passion fruit. It is also less acidic. Sowing:Passion fruit is a tropical and subtropical plant; it grows best in frost-free regions.Soak seeds in a jar of water for 3-5days,place the jar in the sunlight. Sow seed ½ to 1-inch-deep soil or in a germination flat. Germination will occur in 10 to 20 days.Planting:Passion fruit grows best in well-drained, compost-rich, sandy loam with a soil pH of 6.5 to 7.5.Plant passion fruit in full sun except in areas where summers are very hot; in very hot regions plant passion fruit in partial shade.Avoid planting passion fruit where the soil is constantly wet.
