Description: For sale is a complete 3 volume hardcover set of J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings.”. Included in this lot are all three books in the Lord of the Rings trilogy: “The Fellowship of the Ring,” “The Two Towers,” and “The Return of the King.” Both Fellowship and Two Towers are first printings. Return of the King is a fourth printing. All three books have the included fold-out maps of Middle-Earth at the end of each book. “Fellowship of the Ring” has some wrinkling around the top of the dust jacket, mostly at the top of the spine. It also has a bend to the top right corner of the front cover, and minor bends to the top and bottom left corner of the back cover. There’s a small smudge/stain on the page edges. Overall, this book is in very good condition. “Two Towers” also has some wrinkling around the top edge of its dust jacket, particularly around the top of the spine. The is a ding in the top edge of the back cover. The bottom right corner of the front cover, and the bottom left corner of the back cover have bends to them. Page edges show a little reading wear. There is a split between the end papers at the end of the book and the rest of the text block that is forming, so that you can see the netting underneath. Overall, this book is in good condition. “The Return of the King” has wrinkling around the top and bottom edges of its dust jacket. There are some minor stains to the jacket as well. The top right corner of the front cover and hte top left corner of the back cover have little bends to them. The page edges are heavily smudged and stained. The book boards are also speckled with stains. Overall, this book is in good condition.
