Description: 3 Outstanding Western Frontier original watercolor paintings by artist Ray Walters circa early 1940’s . These appear to be the preliminary concepts or reference watercolors by this master artist & illustrator. Ray Walters, was perhaps the most prolific cartoon postcard artist of the twentieth century. Walters cards were drawn in the 1930s and 40’s typically with Western themes, cartoon themes and catchy humorous phrases and always with incredible artwork. He illustrated for Curteich Postcards in Chicago and has been exhibited in many recognized museums representing his long wonderful career. These are created the size of postcards and one of these is actually created on a 9" x 4" back of an envelope. The other 2 are created on a heavy paper-stock all 3 are created in watercolor and or gouache and all are personally signed R Walters. Beautiful original signed art by this legend
