The heads are domed or crowned and would give a neat rustic look.The heads almost look hammered but they were machine made over 100 years ago.There is nice heavy rust on the nails from their many years of storage.These were in an old bucket in a barn so the got damp and rust formed.Some have more rust from being on the bottom of the bucket with more rainThese nails likely were machine made in the late 1800’s.These would have been used in old houses, barn boards, and boxes.Machine made nails came into use in the 1820's and were made until the common wire nails replaced them.They have rust and were not ever used.These nails are 3" long.
