Once they are secured hand-tight, use a torque wrench set to the recommended torque as specified in the lug nut torque chart. Tighten the wheel bolts/lug nuts one after the other in a crisscross pattern. It's crucial to avoid under- or over-tightening the wheel-attaching hardware, as it could cause damage and pose a danger. When the lug nuts are over-torqued, it could lead to stress fractures, increasing the risk of the lugs breaking under normal conditions. Vehicle with Pre-Assembled Studs For spacers with pre-assembled studs: Check and retorque all lug nuts to manufacturer specifications 25-50 miles after installation. Remove wheels to retorque nuts holding spacers to hub. Do not install if factory wheel studs and/or lug nuts make contact with the back of wheels. Check all hardware for proper compatibility before installation. Do not use air tools or impact wrenches, as they can cause thread stripping and over/under tightening. Follow recommended torque specs in chart. Vehicle without Pre-Assembled Studs Longer studs may be required for proper installation.
