I make each pair of these using a permanent red dye, and I have carried mine for months to ensure the red dye does not come off. I splatter them each by hand like a Jackson Pollock piece of art, and no two are the same. I made some for myself when I couldn’t find any zombie apocalypse looking scales, and I made some more for anyone who wants to have a truly custom look for their PM2 that cannot be found anywhere else. The inside of the scales will often have some marks or stains as well, but they aren’t visible once the knife is reassembled. ONLY CLEAN WITH SOAP AND WATER DO NOT CLEAN WITH HARSH CHEMICALS like alcohol, acetone or others. The dye will not come off, but these chemicals will cause the red dye to smear and/or fade.
