Gold Mohair, and fully jointed. Joints are not tight. One of the largest bears I have come across in a long long time. Velour pads black floss nose and mouth Doris and Terry Michaud are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. The former Doris Martin married Michaud on Aug. 19, 1950, in St. Anne's Church, Alpena. They have five children, Mary Baese, Patricia Messinger, James Michaud, Terry Michaud and Kimberly Michaud. They also have six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Terry worked for Dow Corning for many years. Doris worked at JC Penney. They started Carrousel, an antique and teddy bear business, later called Carrousel by Michaud. Their business gave them the opportunity to travel around the country and around the world. They were recognized as among the foremost experts on antique and collectible bears and built what at the time was the world's largest teddy bear, listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. It displayed at many locations, including Disney World. They also wrote several books on bears, including stories of the bears they "adopted," as well as price guides on collectible bears. For their anniversary celebration, their family will see them, observing social distancing. A larger celebration will be held in the future in a post COVID timeframe.
