Description: These were salvaged from a mansion in upstate new york and date to the 1880s. There are 28 tiles in this lot and each measure 6" by 6" by almost 1" thick. They are heavy and are stamped on the back. Some have been cleaned of residue on the back while others still have some blue residue from their prior life. This Stamped "American Encaustic Tiling Co. Trademark registered New York Alhambra." Perfect for an entryway as they can cover a 42" by 24" space. One tile is broken as pictured but can be glued back together. A few chips here and there that could be covered by grout. Colors are grey blue, cornflower blue, grey and white and form an Alhambra pattern. Beautiful and rare old tiles.
