Description: Replacement 24v solenoid valve for the Aprilaire 4040 made by Covna Valve. Solenoid for humidifier model 220, 224, 400, 400M, 440, 448, 500, 500M,550, 560, 600, 600M, 700, 700M, 760, 768 They have designed this valve as an exact replacement of the Aprilaire brand model 4040. Even the inner parts are interchangeable with the Aprilaire. Covna Valve part B2015-S85 is an international brand renowned for applying German fluid control technology in their valve design. They are ISO9001 certified. The valve body has a filter on the inlet side. Same as the Aprilaire 4040 having the 4004 strainer. This filter is interchangeable with the 4004 but made different, as it is a sintered porous brass filter. Specifications printed on solenoid body: 24 volts, 60 Hz, Orifice (3/32 - 3/64). Both the inlet and outlet are threaded 7/16"-24 UNS for accepting a compression fitting for ¼" tubing. The inlet includes the compression fitting & ferrule. They are manufactured the same In-Line Strainer & Orifice Flow-Thru humidifiers have a solenoid with a small strainer filter in the body. These strainers should be inspected and cleaned when replacing the water panel. If the strainer becomes clogged the water pressure will tear it and pieces will jam the solenoid or loose pieces will block the orifice.
