Hackmanite is a Tenebrescent stone that changes color after being exposed to UV light- it gets darker and in this case purple. After some time in the dark, the stone fades back. This phenomenon is repeatable, over and over again. It is also fluorescent under a standard LW UV black light. This oval cab measures 9.45mm X 8.25mm X 4.95mm and weighs 2.46cts. The cab is white/gray and shows patches of purple after exposure to LW UV light. It also shows patches of orangey fluorescence under a standard LW UV black light. Species: Natural Sodalite, var.
