There are also a lot of videos out there stating these false claims. Here are some of the claims being made. Will give you more distortion. Will boost your volume. Will make your pickups sound better. Will give you better tone. Will make your amp sound better. Etc. Etc. The list goes on but none of this is true. Any seller or any video making these claims are FALSE. WE have never claimed the 24 Volt Mod™ could/would do these things. When I invented the 24 Volt Mod™ Back around 2009, it was to replace the need for having (2) 9 volt batteries squeezed inside a guitar cavity. People selling fake versions of our products and making these claims are liars just looking to make a dollar. So what does the 24 Volt Mod™ actually do? It increases attack speed. Meaning you will notice the string response from your guitar playing will feel faster as the increase in voltage will speed up the latency between striking a string and the time you hear it. While this shift is small, it is noticeable while playing. It increases headroom. Headroom is the peak where your guitar or bass signal begins to distort. Increasing the headroom raises this ceiling as clean signals especially will benefit from the increased headroom before distorting. It increases tonal response. Not the sound itself but they dynamics of your tone circuit will feel more fluid when adjusting. The 24 Volt Mod™ will not make your tone sound different. It’s more of a change you can feel in the response to your playing and not a tone change. There may be very slight shifts in dynamics and wave forms but you will not hear them typically with your ears.
