Description: 2024 SARRACENIA SEEDS: GOLDEN RED JUBILEE X BENGAL TIGER [CARNIVOROUS PLANT SEED] Code: 327: 24HH12 This listing includes: One pack of approximately 30 Sarracenia seeds from the following cross: Mother (pod) plant: S. ‘Golden Red Jubilee’ (jonesii x alabamensis) An older cultivar by John Hummer. Has amazing golden colored tubes and lids. Once colored up, red venation develops and then has a bleeding effect in between the veins. The red brilliantly contrasts with the golden color. Strong fall growth and oversized lids. Father (pollen) plant: S. Bengal Tiger An extremely ornate catesbaei. Has maroon venation and an extra large, dark throat splotch. Always eye catching. Produces pitchers throughout the growing season for me. I love using it in crosses every year. 1st picture shows the two parent plants. 2nd picture shows the mother (pod) parent. 3rd picture shows the father (pollen) parent. 4th picture shows an example of the seeds you will get (not the quantity). 5th picture shows an example of how I bag my Sarracenia flowers in the spring. This cross was made in the Spring of 2024 and the seeds were harvested when ripe later in the same year. The cross was done carefully by hand. All manual crosses had bagged flowers to avoid any unwanted pollen contamination by nature. After harvest and drying, the seeds have been stored dry in the fridge to maximize longevity and viability. These seeds have NOT been stratified. You will need to do that yourself. I have been growing Sarracenia for 15 years and my goal is to make quality seeds and plants affordable to anyone that is interested in growing these amazing plants.
