Sokal shirt - this name arose by itself among researchers and ethnographers to identify the shirts that were created and worn by the Ukrainian population of the Nadbuzh region. These are Chervonogradsky district (in 1940-2021 - Sokalskyi, Radehivskyi), Volodymyr-Volynskyi district (Ivanychivskyi, (in 1957-1962 - Novovolynskyi)), Kholmschyna (Poland). As many as 420 pages of monochrome patterns are waiting for you. In the publication, the author and craftswoman described and drew the cuts and ornaments of 60 shirts - 52 women's and 8 men's, made layouts of 408 patterns - 386 from shirts and 22 from scraps of preserved fragments. And also depicted the cut, mirroring of the ornaments, signed the location of each look, calculated the number of crosses in the report, showed the overall location of the embroidery on the shirt. Vera also developed step-by-step diagrams of embroidery techniques, lacing, step-by-step sewing. An ethnographic essay about the region of residence and historical photos will help the reader to clearly distinguish local and borrowed elements of ornaments. Not a book - but a real treasure!
