This Canada Picture Postage stamp is a follow up to our stamp issued in Dec. 2021. Because of a COVID outbreak the games were postponed, and rescheduled to August 2022. Canada won the final against Finland 3:2. This stamp is the LAST MEN's HOCKEY STAMP printed by Canada Post under their PICTURE POSTAGE program. Effective Sept. 1, 2022 Canada Post cancelled the program and there won't be any more NEW stamps or RE-PRINTS produced. In early Sept. 2022 there will be one last WOMEN Hockey World Championship stamp released which was printed prior to the cutoff. NB Beginning Jan 2023 the AUSTRIAN Post Office began printing our new Hockey and other designs - please check for listings. If you are still missing any of our previous Hockey issues, please consider ordering them now; as indicated there won't be any reprints!!!
