Description: Up for sale, a 2010 Gibson SG Standard ‘60s Coil Tap in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and factory paperwork. This iteration of the SG platform was a Guitar Center exclusive model, produced from 2009-2012, featuring (as the name would suggest) dedicated push/pull coil taps at the Volume knobs. This particular SG has been upgraded with a pair of 490R/T humbuckers and TonePros bridge hardware (original parts included). Featuring the early specs for this model (2009-2010), tonewoods include a Honduran mahogany body, quartersawn Honduran mahogany neck, and a bound ebony fingerboard. Based on the PAF platform, the 490R/T pickups are wax-potted for optimal feedback rejection, offering an accentuated upper midrange punch. The trebles have plenty of growl and cut, the lows are an ideal blend of thick and airy, and the push/pull coil taps enable single coil sparkle and snap. This SG weighs 7lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
