Description: 2009 Boston Breakers Candace Chapman WPS Soccer Game-Used Road Jersey NWSL This is an official 2009 BOSTON BREAKERS game-used jersey from the defunct WOMEN'S PROFESSIONAL SOCCER (2009-2011) league. The blue, long-sleeved road jersey was used by former Canadian international CANDACE CHAPMAN during her only season with the Breakers in 2009. Long-sleeved cold-weather jerseys from WPS are very rare. PUMA did not make long-sleeved jersey designs available for retail sale for any teams during the WPS era. So the only way to get a team's long-sleeve jersey was to acquire a game-used (or at least game-issued) jersey from an actual player or equipment manager. I worked in the Breakers front office from start-up in 2007 until Women's Professional Soccer disbanded following the 2011 season and wound up with a handful of left over jerseys and other memorabilia when the league disbanded.
