What is the lift assist hinge? If you look at the driver side hinge it will either be round or square/rectangular. If your truck is equipped with lift assist it will have the square/rectangular hinge pictured on the left. If yours has the round hinge like the one pictured on the right, it is not equipped with lift assist. You can swap the hinge on the truck side with just 2 bolts so that it has the correct style hinge to match the gate you will be purchasing. Camera and Lock If your truck is equipped with either of these options and the tailgate you are looking at purchasing is not its not a big deal. You can reuse your parts in the new tailgate.
