Description: Epiphone 335 DOT Deluxe Gold Hardware Electric Guitar Made in Korea Includes: Guitar, Case Candy & Wrench I purchased this guitar brand new from an online music store in 2004. I have never played this guitar and it still has the original strings from the factory. The strap buttons are heavy tarnished and all other gold hardware is slightly tarnished after sitting for 20 years in it's original case. There are no dents, dings or scratches of any kind that we can see. It is in essentially mint condition except for condition of the gold hardware. The Epiphone "Dot" is Epiphone's version of Gibson's famed ES-335 but with dot inlays in the fretboard rather than blocks. This is the "Deluxe" version of the Dot which, among other enhancements, has gold hardware. Over time, the gold plating has worn away, which is very common for these models. It's the flamed maple top and the Wine Red finish that sets this particular example apart from all of the other Dots. Very few Epiphone Dots were made with flamed maple tops, and the vast majority were done in the vintage sunburst finish but you won't find many at all in the Wine Red. This guitar was built in November 2004 in Epiphone's Saien Plant, in Korea. All electronics check out and work perfectly.
