Description: Piano is currently in a line to be restored. But it’s not likely it will happen until next year. I’m selling it as is. New Hammers and Shanks were installed 20 years ago. The rest is original. Soundboard in excellent condition. It’s fully playable and if there is an demand or request I can do the restoration as priority in about 1 month extra time. Refinishing usually takes the longest time and takes most of energy. But it’s could be done separately in a future. The rest can be done first. I can offer do the action work itself with all new parts (Steinway New York) for extra $5500. Or second option will be do the new strings and new pins (#4) plus refinishing all the interior with plating all hardware and refinishing gold plate for another extra $3500 (piano doesn’t need new pinblock. Current original pins are still very good). So the idea is you can have everything done except refinishing the case under $40,000. And I can guarantee to find later some refinishing shop who does pianos for less than $5000. So if you do the math you can have totally restored like new a dream Concert Grand from 1973 for way less then $50,000. When new or anything similar around this time is way over $100,000.
