Description: Charles Crenshaw, M.D., details his first-hand account of the events that occurred in Trauma Room One on November 22nd, 1963 when John Fitzgerald Kennedy was brought to Parkland Hospital after he was shot. Crenshaw recounts the attempt to save JFK's life by the doctors, nurses, and technicians during his residency at Parkland, as well as the alleged code of silence they all agreed to in the aftermath of the assassination. Crenshaw comes forward in his first book, Conspiracy of Silence, to reveal the discrepancies between the Warren Report's account of the medical evidence and what he claims he saw first-hand, most notably, that JFK's wounds came from a bullet that had to have been shot from the right and front of the motorcade rather than from behind. After winning a subsequent defamation lawsuit that was filed against him by JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association), Crenshaw's Trauma Room One provides additional medical evidence that has been discovered and testified to that backs up Crenshaw's initial claims. 287 pages. The book is in good overall condition with some slight creases on the front and back covers. The pages are slightly toned but with no rips or folds, though the top of the outside edge of the pages show some small indentation marks. The binding is tight and the book is a good reading copy.
