Description: 2 x Yu Yuen Hong Chinese TING Suite of Four Etching Artist Proof Prints Signed 2 x Yu Yuen Hong Chinese "TING - Suite of Four" Signed Etching Prints - Artist's Proof Click images to enlarge Description Beautiful pair of vintage Chinese Artist's Proof (AP) etching prints from "TING - Suite of Four" hand crafted by renowned artist Yu Yuen Hong. These Artist's Proof etching prints are number II and number III of the suite. Yu Yuen Hong's stunning prints depict TINGS which were "old bronze shipping utensils of the royal family" and were used between 21 - 221 B.C. These works are created from hand crafted grass fibre paper pressed by either metal or wooden plates. The style is primitive, crude but yet artistic. The wonderful design and semi three-dimensional embossed surface produces a subtle depiction of modern art. Each print also incorporates hand-painted gold highlights which is a superb touch. Each work has been hand signed by Yu Yuen Hong in pencil. Both etching prints have been professionally mounted in a lightly distressed gold timber frame with black matt board and protective glass. Glued to the back of each frame is the original paper label detailing information on the artwork and artist. Yu Yuen Hong exhibited his work in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore and have also been included in international exhibitions. Mr Yu`s works were selected for the Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition (1985 and 1987) of the Hong Kong Urban Council. His artworks are featured in numerous museums and galleries as well as in the private collections of many Hong Kong dignitaries. Size & Weight Each print measures 14cm x 14cm. The frames each measure 26.5cm x 26.5cm. Condition Prints are in good condition for age. Some are related foxing as pictured which is noticeable only upon close inspection. The black matte board surrounding each picture has some age / humidity related discolouration as can been seen in the pictures. Tape on rear of frames has lifted in places due to age.
