Description: You get these 2 watercolor paintings.. they are from the estate of fellow artist Joyce Hagen who was a court room artist as was Lois Silver in the late 70s .. I believe they knew each other .. Joyce was living in the Mount Lake Terrace area while Lois lived near Pike Place Market. the Harris Harvey Gallery has shown her art for over 35 yrs . I believe these 2 paintings are from the late 70s to early 1980s.. Lois' hair is still dark in the pictures on the back of both watercolors.. plus I was able to find a picture of her at the Harris Gallery .. the Poster is from 1988..she also did the art for the 80thm anniversary of Pikes Place Market.. she is well listed and her oil paintings sell for over $2000.. her prints of the market sell for $125 .. The framed painting is 16 x14 and the picture is 9 x 7.. the larger matted painting is 23 1/2 x 16 with the picture being 17 x 9 1/2 the clear wrap is old and brittle but has kept the painting clean.. "Seattle-based painter Lois Silver is known for deftly revealing complex drama in a single, lushly rendered moment. Her paintings encourage viewers to supply a narrative based upon their personal experiences. Like the arrested movement in a film still, the figures are captured mid-pose, sure to reanimate their narrative through the imagination of the viewer." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtNABc2D7d8 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.954551044623784&type=3 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.571596369585922&type=3 these will be wrapped well ...
