Description: This lot features a pair of beautiful vintage Venetian lampworked glass leaves/feathers - originally made as chandelier parts. The glass on the stems is clear and ribbed/swirled, while the glass on the leaves/feathers is largely blue, with some yellow highlights. They are quite beautiful. Being handmade, each is unique and therefore they are slightly different sizes. They are each around 10.5" long and around 3" wide. Hopefully you can tell in the photos that they are also in lovely condition, with no known flaws. There are, as I also hope comes through in the photos, small holes on the tips of each leaf - these are deliberate, crafted in presumably as a means of dangling a small bauble from each stem. These were discovered in the estate sale of a man who ran a chandelier repair shop in Pittsburgh for over 70 years. I am so pleased to be able to share them with you.
