Description: Lot of 2 Vintage Ellisco Stainless Steel Pipette Sterilization BoxesHeight = 16.5 inches Diameter = 2.5 inches I bought these at a surplus lab auction from the University of Texas about 15 years ago. Definitely some antique lab equipment here. There is a great Patina on the surface. These were used to sterilize glassware with steam. Thus creating the great patina that formed over the years. The Ellisco company "George D Ellis & Sons" is known for can manufacture especially fuels. Evidently they made some stainless steel cans for use in labs. New stainless cans like this cost about $70 each. These are all non magnetic stainless steel. They need a good soaking to remove some of the old tape residue on some of the surfaces. The tubes weigh about 1 lb each. The tubes will ship in an 18X6X6 inch box weighing 3 lbs. I think priority mail will be best rate but check the Fed Ex price as well.
