Description: These unusual vintage1 inch shell buttons have an authentic looking US Navy brass anchor emblem in the center. I was not able to find any other examples, and I think that someone added the emblems, probably from something like a cap badge to the buttons - a sweetheart button if you will! The giveaway is the rather crudely soldered metal loop shanks on the back. The soldered shanks are secure, and though the shell has some minor staining and scratches, the buttons look great.
