Description: DESCRIPTION The 2nd International Legion is a special battalion of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.The battalion began its active formation in October 2022. The basis of the command staff of the battalion was the representatives of the former First International Special Forces Company of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who took part in combat operations to repel the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in the East of Ukraine, in particular in the battles for Lysychansk, Hryhorivka, Siversk, and Bakhmut.Three flags are depicted on the arm badge 2 of the International Defense Legion of Ukraine.The first is the battle flag of the fighters for the freedom of Ukraine, which during the Revolution of Dignity and with the beginning of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine in 2014 acquired special significance as a battle flag and symbol of the struggle for the freedom of Ukraine.The second is the flag of Georgia (Sakartvelo).The third is the flag of free Belarus.This reflects the fact that the basis of the 2nd International Legion of Defense of Ukraine consists of representatives of Ukraine, Georgia (Sakartvelo), and Belarus.The blue field symbolizes the free world and its fight against darkness.The sleeve badge depicts a sword (gladius), the sword of Roman legionnaires, on a blue field background - this symbolizes the support of Ukraine with weapons from the countries of developed democracies, and it is also a reference to the struggle of the entire civilized world against the hordes of barbarians.The inscription "Viribus Unitis" means "United forces".Material: textile.Type: identifier.Method of manufacture: embroidered.Method of fastening: velcro.Dimensions: 55 * 85 mm.Color: full.
