Description: A pair of spectacular large antique 18th century hand-colored French engravings: circa 1780 "Le Billet Doux" by Nicolas De Launay (1739 - 1792) and "Le Couche de la Mariee" by Jean-Michel (le jeune) Moreau (1741-1814). 2 beautiful works by master engravers of Louis XVI era. Matted, framed in matching vintage frames under glass. The exterior of the frames is 20" by 25", the images themselves (opening of the mats) are 12" by 16". The mats are a bit age-browned, a couple of small chips on the corners of the frames, overall very good antiquarian condition. Gorgeous antique engravings, very decorative and attractive. Please note that due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, at this time I cannot ship to Canada. Shipping to the U.S. ONLY (will be sent via currier company to Champlain, NY and mailed by USPS from there).
