The 2" measurement refers to the port size of the filter system itself and is not a measurement of this filter element. This element fits systems with a 2" port size (where the PVC body of the filter is attached to the installation pipes). The element itself measures 10" x 1-7/8". Polyester mesh filters are:ReusableWashableResistant to bacteria growthAvailabile in a wide range of micron sizesPolyester filter elements are to be used in applications with a maximum water temperate of 120°F. For applications with higher water temperatures a stainless steel element is advised (sold separately). Use the drop-down menu to select a mesh size to meet your particular requirements. The information below notes general guidelines for mesh selection as provided by the manufacturer. Actual performance can vary due to variations in shape, size and specific gravity of the materials being filtered.
