Description: For your consideration two Plumb Half Hatchets. First is a Plumb Permabond 11-557 SH2. It is 13.75” long from the end of the handle to the top of the axe head. The head is 6.5” from the top of the hammer head to the top of the bit. The cutting edge is 3.625” long. The handle is 11.5” long. It weighs 2 lbs. 2.8 oz. The head is marked Plumb – 11-557 – SH2 – Wear Safety Goggles – U.S.A. - 051. Second is an older Plumb. It does not have Permabond. It is 13.5” long from the end of the handle to the top of the axe head. The head is 6.25” from the top of the hammer head to the top of the bit. The cutting edge is 3.625” long. The handle is 11.5” long. It weighs 1 lb. 13.5 oz. The head is marked Plumb. The condition of the two hatchets is good. Both are solid and tight. Both have dings on their head. The head on the 2nd hatchet has a tiny, tiny bit of movement. The handle on the 2nd hatchet has a ½” chip on the front of the shoulder (see photo #4). The handle has some paint on it. The same hatchet has some very tiny nicks in the cutting edge. Both hatchets need sharpening.
