THEREFORE 1/8" OF MATERIAL IS LOST DURING THE CUTTING PROCESS.These tubes have a 1/8" thick wall which provides an outside dimension (OD) of 1/2" and an inside dimension (ID) of 1/4". In normal light conditions these tubes are a vibrant translucent Lime Green. The tubes will glow ONLY when in the influence of a fluorescent black or Actinic type light. As you can see from the picture of the tubes on the black grid, these tubes are very translucent. The color of the tubes will of course vary depending on the back round color due to being translucent.
