Description: 2 handmade,Shaker Style artist-signed oval nesting wooden boxes with finger joints and stained blue-gray on the interiors. The larger box is 6 1/2" in length x 4 1/2" in width, and 2 1/4" in height. The smaller box is 5 1/2" long x 4" wide x 2" high. The wood looks like Cherry but I am no expert.They were made by C.H. Pence and Son and dated '82. I believe they were made in Ohio. The boxes are original artisan pieces and beautifully made in the old Shaker tradition. In addition to being signed and dated they are numbered 134 and 135 respectively. They are in very nice vintage condition with a touch of normal surface wear. A beuatiful pair of boxes. SH at cost.
