Description: VINTAGE, MINT condition Lladro "Angels Collection" #4959 "Mime or Mimico" and #4961 "Angel Dreaming" -- both created in 1977 by Spanish sculptor Salvador Debon. These two gorgeous porcelain pieces, made in Valencia, Spain, retailed at $265 EACH! The "Mime" angel depicts a lovely and sweet winged angel/cherub with head in hands, and puzzled, dreamy look on his face. He measures 8 3/4" in height and 5" in width. He was #1 in the Angels Collection Set. All his fingers are intact (see photo #9) which is quite rare for this vintage piece. "Angel Dreaming" (#4961) was #3 in the Angels Collection Set, also created by Salvador Debon in 1977. He measures 6 1/2" in height and 4 1/2" in width. He is sitting and resting his cherub cheek on one hand, dreaming sweet dreams! Both these pieces have been retired by Lladro and are no longer available. Both winged angels are in Lladro's traditional soft muted colors of white, taupe, tan and flesh, with a high gloss finish. Created in the Lladro Fine Porcelain factory in Valencia, Spain, these angels are highly collectible and would make a lovely set anywhere in your home and a definite conversation piece!
