Description: This listing is for 2 barrettes in your choice of design and color. I have been crafting these heavy-duty leather barrettes for 40 years now. They are made in Mooresville, Indiana, USA. I assure you that these are excellent quality barrettes. There are four design options as well as plain. Each barrette may be ordered in either brown or black. We have two different floral designs that we label Floral #1 and Floral #2. We also offer a unique Paisley pattern and Peacock feather design. Each of these popular designs is unique to Hilltop Leather and you won't find this specific artwork anywhere else. If you like these designs, I have them available in many of our other products. If you are looking for a barrette with a different design or motif such as animals or lettering, please see our other listings or message us as we have many additional design tools. These large, oval shaped barrettes are made from oak tanned leather and highlighted with shades of brown or black. Please understand that leather is a natural substance and each barrette will be unique. Each piece of leather will take the dye in its own way, and therefore there will be some variations. The large oval barrette is 2" tall and 4 1/4" wide. The center of the holes are 3 1/4" apart. The barrette sticks are made of lathe-turned hardwood, very sturdy and finished in an attractive dark stain. We so often hear, "Oh, I can't wear those. My hair is too thin." Or, "Oh, I can't wear those. My hair is too thick." NOT TRUE!! If your hair is long enough for a ponytail, you can wear our barrettes. Just put your hair up in an elastic hair band. Then add the barrette by spearing the stick above the hairband. You do not have to surround all of your hair and the barrette can't slip off because it is trapped above the hair band. If you want to put your hair up in a bun, put it in a ponytail first. Then twist your hair up and add the barrette. If you have the time, please take a look at our other items.
