On the retrieve the fly tracks straight on a fast retrieve or in current no matter how fast it moves. The fly has tinsel tied in, silicone legs and a glass rattle on the hook shank. The rattle creates noise on the strip and pause. When you stop the retrieve, the tinsel and the silicone legs continue to move. It has the qualities necessary to trigger the bite response we want. The weedguard allows you to fish wood cover, thick weedbeds and rocky structure you normally wouldn't without the protection of the weedguard. Instead of just fishing the edges of these areas you can now fish area others pass up. When fish are not actively feeding they might not leave this cover and chase a fly. If you drop the fly on that predators nose inside the protection of cover, you have a better chance of triggering it to bite.
