This is also the author’s third published work. The binding is square and tight and immaculate throughout. The red cloth boards are spotless and the copper gilt lettering has held up quite well over the years. The illustrated endpapers are of interest in telling the story of Saint Brendan’s voyage as are the black and white photographs on quality paper stock throughout the book. There is corner wear as shown but the spine ends have also held up nicely over time. The dust jacket is complete and has the original price in British pounds on the lower front flap as shown in the images provided. There is light foxing across the jacket panels but not the discoloration that foxing has the evil power to do to some paper. There is wear to the spine ends, corners and edges which can be seen in the remaining photos. This copy will make a wonderful addition to any collection or library.
