1st edition 1st printing The Last Sherlock Holmes Story by Michael Dibdin! 1978

Description: Here is another of the many Sherlock Holmes related titles I will be listing in the next few days. Here is a beautiful copy of The Last Sherlock Holmes Story by UK author Michael Dibdin. This is a first American edition first printing as shown on the copyright page published by Pantheon Books in 1978. This copy is quite lovely. The binding is square, tight, and the text is immaculate throughout. This copy is from the same personal library of a law enforcement officer, and a sheriff no less and his personal book plate is affixed to the front inner board as shown. The black cloth boards are spotless as is the cloth spine. The silver gilt lettering on the spine is brilliant and pristine in condition also as shown in the photos provided. The grey lettering on the front board is in excellent condition as well. The spine ends and all four corners of this copy are also in excellent condition. The dust jacket has been price clipped. The bottom spine end has minor wear as does the top but very minimal indeed. The top two corners of the jacket also has minor wear but nothing overwhelming. There is a tiny closed tear in the top of the front panel as the posted images show. This copy is beautiful and will make a wonderful addition to any Sherlockian collection or library.
