Description: First edition 1927 of George L. Rockwell's classic history of Ridgefield, Connecticutt. This volume was purchased directly from Rockwell by someone mentioned in the book, Fred Scofield. The book contains 19th and 20th century history and includes birth and marriage records as well as many historic photos. 583 pages. Tucked in to the book is a small souvenir book of images of early Ridgefield. There is no date, but the images are before automobiles. This copy is in very good vintage condition. The pages are bright, clean and unmarked. No stains, no toning, no foxing, no folds or tears. The binding is fully intact though the outer spine is partially detached from the binding. Hinges are not cracked. The boards show age and wear with some erosion at tips and spine ends. Ships with USPS media mail, signature required.
