Description: Offered is this framed and matted piece containing a 1937 calendar from the Naumkeag Trust Co. of Salem, Massachusetts. The calendar has been divided into two parts; the top portion, with a color illustration of the sailing ship "Union", above the business' address and other information and the bottom portion, with the 1937 calendar itself, along with the company seal. A full page (13 3/4" x 9 1/2"0 describing the ship is also included. According to the seal, the company began in 1909 but I don't think it is still in business. The brown wooden frame with gold-painted trim is approx. 19" x 14 1/2". The matte opening for the ship illustration is approx. 8 1/4" x 8" and the matte opening for the calendar is about 4 3/4" x 4 1/2". The frame is in good to very good condition. The wood has no damage, although there are some minor surface scuffs, etc. The glass and matting look fine. There are numerous creases and lines in the ship illustration but the calendar looks fine. The ship description page has wrinkles but no tears. The back is wired and ready to hang. Please take a moment to look at some of the other items in my eBay store!
