Description: For sale is a wonderful 19th Century Antique American Wooden Sewing Cushion/Sewing Bird The sewing cushion box having its original turned wooden screw clamp. The piece having a one drawer needle and sewing thread compartment with original dovetail joinery. The handle being bone and possible having been worn down or the top broken off(see close up picture) The pin cushion appears original to the piece. Screw clamp works well and small drawer opens and closes well. Unsure of wood species. Possibly burled maple veneer to an oak base. Overall structurally sound but having has some old repairs that we have detailed on pictures (see all pictures). Measurements: Length - 9 1/2” (fully screwed in) Depth - 5 3/8” Width - 3”
