Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a beautiful Phoenix Glass cased glass "Cut Velvet" satin Art Glass vase, c. 1883-1887. The vase has beautiful soft rose coloration in the glass cased over white, shading from deep rose to white and has a satin finish and diamond quilted pattern. This type pattern is called "Cut Velvet" as the diamond pattern is reversed from "mother-of-pearl" diamond quilted items with the pattern consisting of the main glass color not the air-trap design. This Art Glass line was produced by the Phoenix Glass Company of Phillipsburg PA from 1883-1887. The Phoenix Glass Company only made Art Glass from 1883-1891. This type glass is highly collectible due to the short period of production. This stunning vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Measures 6" high with a maximum width of 3" and top diameter of 3/4".
