Description: 1998 Fender USA Collectors Edition Telecaster2-Tone SunburstGold Hardware Electric GuitarMade in the USA Includes: Guitar, Case Candy, Strap, Cable, Hangtags & Case I purchased this guitar brand new from a music store in Honolulu in 1998. There are no scratches, dings or dents anywhere that we can see. There were 1,998 made and this is number 0547. The neck plate is Special Edition. The gold knobs on the top are tarnishing from sitting in the case but all the other gold hardware looks good. The medium jumbo frets look good with no signs of wear but the strings could be changed. The neck appears to have a soft “V” shape which is reminiscent of a 1957 neck. The finish shows off the beautiful wood grain of the body. There are only 5 gold screws that hold down the thin single layer plastic pickguard. There is evidence of some warping between the screws. All electronics check out.
