Description: 1997 JDR Microdevices Electronic Components Catalog #59B Description Up for sale is a vintage (or nearing vintage) JDR Microdevices Electronic Components Catalog from 1997 with the designation of being catalog #59B. This catalog (along with a few other catalogs and magazines pertaining to computer products) was kept in an open tote storage tote for the past unknown number of years (or decades rather) that picked up quite a bit of dust on it whilst playing host to a much unwanted termite infestation. Most of the catalogs contained in this crate had to be thrown out because they were just beyond salvation, but luckily this particular catalog didn't seem to be affected all that much... however, it still may exhibit some signs of wear on it, brought on by overall age and general storage. These visible signs of wear appear mainly in the form of foxing (i.e. yellowing/staining) on the cover and throughout the pages of the catalog along with some creases near the spline, some slight scuff marks here and there, and/or slightly bent corners appearing throughout the pages of the catalog and what have you. The staples holding the catalog together have also developed a bit of rust on them (on the inside of the publication; which is where an order form can be found) which may have contributed to the overall yellowing on the pages. Aside from that, it appears as though this catalog didn't have a recipient address sticker or any type of residential address printed on its rear cover; which leads me to suspect that it might have been a pack-in advertisement with some piece of computer related equipment that was purchased back in the day. The only thing printed on it is a key code (printed on the rear cover and the stapled ordering form) which may very well be no longer valid, as the company is probably no longer in existence... despite the fact that it's still registered as active but no longer seems to have an online presence (as their domain JDR dot com appears to have expired). While this catalog appears to exhibit all the hallmark signs that one would expect to find in a publication from such a vintage, it is still in relatively good shape and very collectible to anybody that's interested in historical prices related to vintage retro computer products and what have you; so please be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts, for my loss is your gain as they say in the trade.
